Today, June 28, we had the opportunity to host our latest Macaroni KID Rochester Birthday Party Showcase, and what an incredible experience it was! Five amazing young ladies, ages 7-11, joined us for a karaoke-style recording party, and from the moment they walked in, the smiles never stopped.
The fun began in the party room, complete with its own adorable stage. After a few fun vocal warm-ups, the girls headed over to choose songs they wanted to sing. They had such a hard time picking just one favorite that the staff surprised them by letting everyone record two songs instead!
Next came one of the coolest parts of the day—the professional recording studio. The girls got an up-close look at the sound boards before stepping into the recording booth. The Bach to Rock team even printed lyric sheets so everyone could sing along confidently. Watching the girls crowd around the microphone, singing together and cheering each other on, was such a special moment.
After recording their first song, they headed back into the control room to see the magic happen. The staff showed them how the recording could be edited and cleaned up, giving the girls a behind-the-scenes look at how music is produced. Then it was time to head back into the studio to record their second song!
Hearing themselves played back was definitely a highlight. The girls loved trying to pick out where their own voices were in the recording, and you could see how excited they were to experience what it's like to be a real recording artist.
Once the recording session wrapped up, everyone enjoyed pizza, cookies, and drinks back in the party room. It gave the girls some time to relax, laugh together, and celebrate their performances.
But the fun wasn't over yet!
After lunch, everyone made their own custom guitar picks before hopping back on stage for even more singing. The party finished with a hands-on instrument experience where the girls learned some basic guitar skills and had the chance to try several different instruments.
One of our favorite moments was watching Annabelle pull out her saxophone and start jamming with her friends while they played electric guitar, hand drums, and the drum set. It quickly turned into an impromptu band performance that had everyone smiling.
One detail that really impressed us was the staff's attention to safety. Before bringing out the drum set, they made sure every child and every adult had hearing protection before anyone started playing. It's those little details that show how much they truly care about their guests.
What stood out even more was the incredible patience and encouragement from the Bach to Rock team. They didn't just supervise the party—they guided it, cheered the kids on, adapted to their interests, and made every child feel like a rock star. Their energy, kindness, and enthusiasm created an experience that every family appreciated.
Every single girl left with huge smiles, wonderful memories, and excitement to come back again. Annabelle has already asked when she can return, and I have a feeling several of our families will be checking out their camps and music programs this summer!
